This website uses Meteotemplate, a free customizeable website template that can be used with a variety of different weather softwares. You can learn more about it at www.meteotemplate.com This website is equipped to display loads of different data suitable for the average person looking for local weather conditions, or the advanced weather hobbyist. Southern Minnesota Live Weather was founded in June of 2008 long before this website was created. It started out with a simple Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 in Madelia, MN. In January of the following year we started uploading data to WeatherLink IP, Weather Underground, and CWOP. This was all done with WeatherLink software by Davis Instruments. As times progressed we changed to Virtual Weather Station software by Ambient Weather and created our first website using the template made by Virtual Weather Station. It was from there we grew to more advanced levels and began to dig deeper into the data we were handling.
